First LEGO League Competition (FLL)

Open call for participation

First LEGO League is one of the largest international robotics competitions. The national round in Singapore for First LEGO League is organised by Duck Learning, and the winners are invited to participate in the international round to compete with over 200 global teams.

Nullspace Robotics is doing a limited open call for participation in FLL Challenge under our Novice Team Competition Programme. If your child has a strong interest in LEGO Robotics, this is your chance to let them experience learning more about robotics through solving a competition mission!

FAQs

Currently there are weekly Wednesday or Thursday 6pm-8.30pm training slots. Feel free to indicate and rank your preferred choice of location on the google form. Do note that we can only start a class at a certain location if there is a minimum number of participants to form teams at the location.

In the case where there the location is full or if there are insufficient students to form teams, we will contact you to see if you would like to participate at another location based on your preferred choice ranking.

We do not have make up sessions for missed sessions as the training is done as a team. For students who miss sessions due to illness, we will get the other teammates to cover for them to ensure that the team’s progress is not affected.

No, unfortunately students cannot represent both Nullspace and their school for the competition. If your child is chosen to represent the school, they will not be able to participate with Nullspace.

Nullspace Robotics students who have completed the Robotics Certificate Programme (Advanced Level) will be invited to join our main competition teams for First LEGO League Challenge.

Students who have not completed the Robotics Certificate Programme can still participate in the First LEGO League Challenge with us under the Novice Team Competition Programme.

The main goal of the novice competition team is to give students the experience and learning opportunity to solve robotics missions. As a national level robotics competition event, there will be many teams in Singapore competing for the top awards. We encourage our students and parents to look beyond the prizes and focus on building valuable life skills such as perserverance and creative problem solving.
